My recommendation for transfers from Pudong airport to the centre is to definitely try the MagLev Train, known to us as the Transrapid. For the equivalent of around €4 you travel 35 km in around 15 minutes at a speed of 430 km/h. The high speed experience is not only exciting, but it also saves a lot of time and worry as there is a lot of traffic in and out of Shanghai. At the MagLev train’s destination there are plenty of taxis which can take to you central places in the city in around 10 minutes.
