Getting to and from the airport, airport

Prague airport is located approximately 15km (9 miles) from the city center. It takes about 25 minutes to reach the center by car and about 30 minutes to reach the center by bus or subway.By Bus: Public transportation is the cheapest way to get to and from the Prague airport. The ride costs 26 CZK (US $1.37 at an 18.94 CZK per dollar exchange rate). An Airport Express bus costs 45 CZK (US $2.38) and the transit system is quite easy to use. Keep in mind that public transport may not have much space for luggage, may be crowded at peak times and most likely won't drop you off directly at your hotel.

If you are traveling with a lot of luggage, consider using a transfer service or a taxi. To catch the bus go to the Arrivals terminal and take Bus 119 which runs between the Ruzyne Airport and Dejvická metro station (metro line A). This is the best choice if your destination is the historical center of Prague (the Old Town, Lesser Town, New Town, Prague Castle area) or anywhere along line A of the metro including the Vinobrady or Žižkov districts.

By Taxi: Go to the Arrivals terminal and look for AAA Radiotaxi stand. You should expect to pay around 500 - 600 CZK (US $26.39 – US $31.67) to travel from the Prague airport to the center. There are other private taxis at the terminal, stick with AAA Radiotaxi to avoid being ripped off.

Airport Transfer services: This is a good option if you want door-to-door service and want to arrange your transfers in advance. Two options include CEDAZ , and Prague Airport Shuttle.
