Avoid hassle when transferring in Jo’burg ,
Johannesburg is now the hub of South Africa. You may have a transfer to an outgoing flight to a South African destination via Jo’burg and manage it without any problems, but thanks to terminal changes the return flight can be a very different matter. You should ideally plan around 3 hours for a transfer. Otherwise you may not reach your flight or be exhausted if you do – and the luggage comes afterwards if need be. Should you have some time to spare, you can use it to get a tax refund. In spite of fees, souvenirs will be around 10% cheaper. However, you have to show your things, so you should carry them around in your hand luggage and have the receipts to hand.
