Mall mania has hit Mumbai in recent years, which include Oberoi Mall, High Street Phoenix Mall and InOrbit Mall. Within these huge malls you can find international brands, department stores, cosmetics, Indian designer shops, food courts and cinema multiplexes.

If you’re after bargain buys then head for bazaars like Crawford Market and Fashion Street which sells cheap surplus export garments. Linking Road Market in Bandra West is the place to go for bargain shoes and accessories.

Chor Bazaar, located in Mutton Street, is a great place to forage for antiques ranging from old ship parts, gramophones, to jewelry and Ming vases. Vendors can spot a tourist a mile off and will often bump up their prices – make sure you bargain. Being a predominantly Muslim area, you would be advised to dress conservatively.
